Each of the four counties have teams that are coordinating Bridges to Housing planning, funding, and project recommendations. For information on activity in Washington County, contact us.
Washington County
Community Action, in partnership with two non-profit housing providers, is serving fifteen Bridges to Housing families beginning in Fall, 2007. Community Action is a part of the National Community Action Partnership, and is very skilled at providing a variety of services within Washington County. Community Action demonstrates a commitment to the B2H model, as do the selected Housing providers. Units selected for the project have family amenities, including larger units, access to children’s services, public transportation, and playgrounds.
Families will be housed at three locations:
- Ten families will be housed at two sites (Fircrest Manor and Spencer House) owned by Tualatin Valley Housing Partners. Families are expected to move in from September-November, 2007.
- Five families will be housed at one site (Greenburg Oaks) owned by Community Partners for Affordable Housing. Families will begin moving in Fall, 2007.
